Hi friends!
Show you this bowie I made past year for the show here in Buenos Aires, I was honored to chosen as best in show.
This Bowie is a dog bone with the blade in CM154, satin finish & spanish notch. The guard, collar, chassis, rivets & nut made in phosphatized Iron. Gold & silver inlays & filework in the collar.
The handle is stabilized maple burl, stainless spacers.

Cristian,
Your Knife is BEAUTIFUL.
The contrasting wood, phosphatized iron, the gold and silver inlays are SPECTACULAR.
The Blade is Very Nice with the Spanish Notch.

stabilized maple burl = the new legal mammoth eh. Kewl knife. Nice use of a mixture of materials that fit both the forged and stock removal guys with safe handle material. I like it!!

I wanted to achieve that kind of contrast, it was even better than I had thought!
Murray, sure it's time to look for alternatives, in my country is almost an art!

Cristian,

Congrats on the Best In Show !
I'm in with liking the light and dark.
Great looking Dog Bone Bowie.
What is blade length ?

Doug

A lot of cool stuff going on there I like the dark domed pins black frame and hardware very nice touches

elegant. That is all.

Big fan of the contrast going on here. I really like the guard shape too.

I'm interested as to the placement of your makers mark, why you did it there instead of on the ricasso area?

Doug, the blade length was 10 inches.
Thank you for your words guys ! They really are encouraging

Pootsy, doing honor to the truth, was by habit. Should have been in the ricazzo. Something I'm also thinking about is change my brand for classic pieces, perhaps another more elegant typography

I was just curious. I think personally I would have preferred it in the ricasso area. But it wouldn't stop me buying the knife!!
I love the facets on the handle and the transition lines from the smaller to the larger end. It's a great knife.
