Moving into house, stoked about my new garage...but, the dog urine smell is curling my back hair. Does anyone have good experience with enzyme vs. non enzyme cleaners? This is bare concrete floor garage that doubled as dog urinal. Anyone who can put a slope on my learnin curve is much appreciated.

I would try a light acid wash, maybe try some vinegar and just sweep it around let it sit for about 15 minutes then wash it out.

First if there's a drain in the garage, I'd pour a bunch of water down it. Sometimes that seal between the sewer and your nose dries up if you don't use it enough (the seal is water :p) though it usually smells like gasses if that's the case. But it doesn't hurt to try.

If that doesn't work, the solve all? Bleach. First hose it down with water and take a pushbroom and dishsoap and scrub the whole thing down (with the pushbroom) so there's no residue left. After that, use 1 part bleach to like 10 parts water and re-scrub with the pushbroom. Hose out and clean your pushbroom (so the bleach doesn't eat it up). Should be fine. Had the same problem but with a basement. It's easier with a garage :D.

I have used some stuff that I bought from the Vermont Country Store that was called urinegone or urinefree or something like that and it worked well.

You can also check with your vet, because they deal with that issue a lot and I'm sure they know what works.

After doing everything you can to clean it out, you might want to consider sealing it with one of those epoxy finishes. Besides sealing in the odor, they present a clean, attractive, and durable finish - nice, if you're going to be using your garage as a workshop.

Wash your floor down as others have described with bleach etc. Then let it dry for a couple of days or more the better. Apply concrete sealer with a roller, then apply a good concrete paint with at least two coats.

Painted concrete floors are easier to keep clean than unpainted ones.

Thanks to all, you guys are great. I like the epoxy idea, once I finish gettin all the rest of the boxes out, and clean the floor again, I will seal it up. Then... I can start sharpenin my slippy collection. Looking forward to it. Much obliged to all. Returned the uhaul this morning. Dog tired but happy to own a house again.

If you want to try something a bit less toxic than bleach (although I'm pretty sure that will work), give Nature's Miracle enzyme cleaner a try. Has worked well for us for years.
