Is the dogfather going to be available for purchase any time in the forseeable future? I'm sorry I'm not familiar with how Busse/Scrapyard do buisness.

Two weeks.:D

Seriously your best bet is to look for one on the exchange. They released the LE version of the DF a few months ago so it will probably be a while before we see them again.

Try the Scrapyard web site and their forum there. That is where you'll get the fastest answer. Also look at the exchange here, I recall seeing some.

Hey SGTCap... there is one on the sale forum right now (No sale spotting is allowed, thanks PG). If you don't want that one I may be able to help you out.

There are some on the exchange right this minute and others have said the best place to ask about future releases is the Scrapyard Forum. Good luck!

Thanks guys. I will try their forum or even try to give them a call. I noticed the ones on the For sale forum but the prices are all higher that what the scrapyard website lists. I guess thats due to the limited availibilty of them. I hate to buy stuff at a price that I know is inflated, but I may get desperate.

I appreciate your point of view, but unfortunately paying more than list for a knife that isn't currently being made or readily available is about the only way you'll get your hands on a blade from the Busse family of knife companies. Supply and demand, sometimes it works for the buyer and sometimes the seller. Good luck with your search my friend.

I completely understand what you are saying... I can't stand paying too much for something and generally do a lot of research before buying. That being said, I bought a dogfather about a year ago for a little over $200. I liked it so much, that I bought a FFBM a couple of months ago and it was love at first site! :D The Dogfather has been relegated to 'safe-queen' status... conversely... I proudly beat my mistress on a regular basis

You will not regret the purchase...

When you are considering the price listed on the exchange compared to the one on the website don't forget that the buyer had to pay shipping. He will also have to pay shipping to you so I would consider a markup of about $40 very reasonable as the seller will be making very little profit from from the sale.
Just something to consider.
