Ok I have had my large and small sebs for over 4 years and they are great. I use my large daily and it certainly looks the part. It has plenty of character to go around:thumbup:

My question is how many of you folks have the Doggie paw print Sebenza?

I am wondering how well the engraving holds up under substantial daily use?

My buddy Tonka (yellow lab) recently celebrated his first birthday and i am looking to "upgrade" so to speak so I can take a tribute to him with me in my edc.

i remember reading that graphic sebs cannot be re-annodized so i am just wondering what to expect.

thanks for your time everyone.

all the best,
Jason

I've not had a problem with the graphics on the small Sebenza I often carry. Although, I've not scratched the graphics.

Call Chris Reeve's. I'm sure they will give you an honest answer.

I have a paw prints Small Seb and has not shown any sign of wear so far. But from what I understand and heard is that you can send it back to get it refinished the color might be a little different but it can be done.

here is something Heather (from CRK) wrote to me about the engravings.

(Anodized knives are suitable for every day carry. We only anodize in machined grooves so it will not rub off. If we were to anodize on a flat surface it would rub off. Usually, you will not need to have the knife reanodized. If it starts to look dull, Windex and a Q-Tip should bring the vibrancy back.)

awsome thank you very much for the info everyone!

it is settled then one large doggie paw seb it is.

now I just have to decide on which color paws LOL!

all the best,
Jason

Love that Classic shooter;)

Well I would say that it is good. The bead blasted handles will scuff easily. If you are careful (like not carrying your Sebbie in the same pocket as your keys) the polished scales will show scratches (mostly just very faint ones). Polished is easier to refinish. To re beadblast, the paws would have to be covered. So I would say that the polished scales are better, maybe not as grippy but I think they look nicer and would be a better choice if you intend to carry and use the knife.
