Photos Dog's Head Red Spacer KA-BAR Vintage Kabar

I don't see the red spacers or the dogs head pommel.
Are these the right pictures ?

KA-BAR made so many USMC 1219c / USN mk2 pattern knives during WW2 that there was no need to make more until they started making the 1st 1217 comemmorative knives in 1975.
back in the 70's-80's the handles resembled the originals more than the current examples do, but the blades haven't changed much since then.


This particular knife looks like an original WW2 production knife, nfortunately it looks like somebody has tried to polish up the blade, but it definitely looks like an original to me.


I am not an expert on which variation and production timeline as far as early or late war or anything like this , so you should look into the originals for comparison to maybe narrow it down better.
