Dominator question

Some pictures of the Dominator show it with a small thumb relief cut into the handle for the thumbstuds while others don't have it.Is that feature something new on this knife,or an old feature they did away with?

If my memory serves me I beleive A.G.Russell had a non-assisted opening version made and that is probally the knife you mentioned.

All of the ones I have seen have the relief cut into the handle.

Mine does not have the relief groove, but it came from the first batch. They must have added that early in the run.

On the other hand, I always open mine with the flipper, so the missing groove has never bothered me.
