Dominator Thumb Stud Question

I've got a Dominator that I really like. I recently sold mine, regretted it and bought another. The only weak link is that the thumb stud is getting pretty rusty. Nothing around it is getting affected and it's certainly not a horrible problem, but is there an aftermarket thumb stud that one can buy? It's a great knife regardless, but a new thumb stud made of "better" materials would make it perfect.

Just to make sure everyone understands, the thumb stud on the Dominator is actually the blade stop. It wasn't really intended to be used as a thumb stud to open the knife.

As far as rust. I have never run into that problem. I thought it was hardened 440C. I wonder what it is made of........

Call Customer Service at Camillus. They had some that were made from carbon steel and new stainless ones are due in very soon.
