It features a hand forged blade 8.5" to the guard with an overall of 14.125". It has a hand polish to reveal a beautiful saka choji hamon with utsuri. The seppa before the guard is gold plated, the guard, ferrule and butt cap are iron that has a soft French gray patina. The handle spacers are shakudo with gold plated interior rims. The handle is snakewood shaped to an hour glass and is octagon in cross section. The ferrule is shaped to pick up the lines of the handle.

Merry Freakin' Christmas to the Owner of this SWEEEEET Knife, Excellent Score $$$.It's Definately a "Too Cool" Lethal Work of Art.

Ooh man...
I am completely lost for words.
Mr Fogg must be one of the very best knifemakers ever!

Beautiful

Regards
/Magnus

I realize that I am skating out on to very thin ice here, but I have to say that the gold plating of the seppa is unnecessary and detracts from the overall flow of the knife. Other than that, it is simply stunning!

This was still available at 9AM yesterday.
When it comes to Bowies, his hamons raise him above them all.Not to mention his handles,I may be skating on thin ice also.
Congratulations to the new owner! :D

Amazing knife! I really like the hamon.
Joss, aren't you in Paris yet? :)

Peter, gold plated seppa is VERY traditional, and IMHO works very well with the snakewood. Were the wood dark, like walnut, blackwood or wenge, I would vote for silver colored seppa.

Although the Clouds Bowie is still a very personal favorite, primarily due to the surprisingly durable and vivid, heat colored furniture, this newest bowie is easily in my "Top 3" list of Don's traditionally patterned knives.

Got that email from Don yesterday. It is another great looking knife that is out of my price range. Oh well, it is nice to get to look at it anyway.

Joss,

What Don said. What a great addition.

No one better-suited. Damn, you got the goods!

Don rocks ! It is a very unusual looking knife for sure. But what a way to present an "unusual" package. I think it is utterly beautiful. Congrats, Joss. Jason.
