Don Hanson III new tac folder

Wow guys, I just got this in from Don, and thought I'd share some pictures. When I saw the award winning "Best Tactical" Chicago 2005, I had to order one. Here it is, what a glorious knife. My comments to Don are below, and hopefully he'll add some comments as well. Thanks, John

Don this tac is friggin' awesome!! I now have my new favorite folder. It's much larger than I imagined...I guess since there is nothing in the pics to give it scale. It feels substantial, valuable, dangerous, important. The balance is perfect. The mammoth stag color is the best I've ever seen...if you have more, make something for me with it...little sunfish or something. The anodized colors really add interest. The mosaic damascus is over the top. I really like the fish skeleton, and the ant, omeba, skull and head are always cool surrounded by the bigger pattern damascus. The damascus blade pattern radiating out is perfect for this knife, top edge just short of sharp. The overall effect of this knife is such that I didn't want to put it down....

More pics. I'm never sure what to use to give the picture some size scale. Money is OK, I guess, how about a Mac and Tac? Sorry, couldn't resist...

Now I' m jealous........ That is a great piece.

Don's "tactical knives" are breaking the tactical mold. I love the bolsters, they add so much detail to the knife.

Heck, all the damascus is too cool. I'd be proud to own any of his knives.

This is the third Tac I've done, all a bit different but very similar. After making so many gents folders over the years these big tacticals are a fun diversion. Thanks for your comments folks and thank you vintage for posting this here, Blade Forums is a great place.
