"W2 gyuto with a hamon and kiritsuke-style tip. The handle is a new design of mine made from G10 and snakewood. It's a pretty wild kitchen knife in that it starts out really beefy towards the heel and tapers to a really thin tip.”
Blade length: 10 1/8"
Overall length: 15 1/4"

I don't know what I like better, the knife or the pic. Both outstanding.

Thank you guys and thank you Caleb!

Don this is a real fine knife. Possibly my favorite from you so far. I really like the handle, you clearly put some time into and it shows.

Question for you, do you usually leave plunge lines in all your kitchen knives or you left them on this one intentionally? Just curious as I don't think the take away from the knife or anything.

Thank you everyone!

It depends on the knife for me. Part of it is the grind, if it's thinner at the spine I'm likely not going to do a plunge like that because it'll be pretty shallow, but I've done them before; on really thick spines, like this one, I almost always do a plunge. The other part of it is just looks, if I want to keep things really simple on the knife or have it look a little bit more crisp.

This is a work of art. I am not sure which I like better, the blade or the handle. Amazing work.
