Well, that is delightful news.
Keep in mind, however, that we don't permit advertising on bladeforums.com. Links to web pages offering items for sale are considered advertising.
All members are allowed to link to their website (even if it is commercial) in their signature lines. So, please encourage Mr. Parrish to get signed up for an account here at bf.c, put a link to his website in his sig line and get posting.
However, if Mr. Parrish wants to promote his knives or his website at all here on bf.c outside of the aforementioned sig line exception, he'll have to purchase a knife-makers membership. Even with the membership, there are restrictions on where and how you can advertise and promote yourself here on bf.c. So, you'd be wise to review those rules and stick closely to them.
If in doubt, e-mail or PM a moderator or post your question in the Service and Support forum.
There's an old adage about how it's easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission; the problem with that attitude here at bf.c is that we're not much for forgiveness.
Participating here on bf.c in a friendly and intelligent manner is about the best thing a knife maker can do for publicity. Getting publically banned at bf.c is not. So, review the rules, get a knife maker's membership, and join the conversation. The publicity will be a side effect... but a welcome one I'm sure.
Oh, btw, KV will be along shortly to move this thread to a different forum. It mentions knives and he doesn't like that in the Community Center forum. This forum is sort of everthing except knives... well, everything that's not a thing since things go in Gadgets and Gear, or that's not an idea or opinion because ideas go it the Political Forum, or that's not fun because fun or funny things go in W&C, or that's not risque because risque things go in the Pirate's Cove, or complaining because complains go in GB&U, or praising because praises go in BG&U too... but anything else goes here... whatever that is.
Anyway, don't be upset or insulted when KV moves your thread. He does it to everyone.
You can avoid this sort of thing by reading the announcements and sticky thread that are near the top of the forum listing. Some are general to the whole site, but many forums have individual announcements and stickies that answer common questions or explain specific rules or procedures for that forum. It's a good idea to read these before you post in a new forum.
