I gave three hours today to my local Ronald McDonald House and trimmed some trees that were overgrown in their parking lot. This got me to thinking- how many of my online friends give back?

I'm a fixture at the local food bank, and I give one dollar a week from my pay check to the United Way (cant afford much more then that).

I donate regularily to the Good Will and other local charity shops.

I'm in the scavenging business (for 16 hours a week usually) and any building materials I find that I cannot sell end up donated to the Habitat for Humanity store.

Whatever I can do. Habitat once. Local charity that does fixing and maintenance on neighborhood homes each. Cleared trails a couple of trails for kids' eagle scout projects (giving back there. I had to do and Eagle project 14 years ago myself. The volunteers were the best.)
Just lost my job, so now I'm helping folks at our church to fill some time. Hoping Karma brings a new job my way. If not, a little personal growth is worth it.

I volunteer at my local library when I can, but it has been a while since I'm now looking for library work. I'm also a regular volunteer at my daughters co=op nursery school. I help out in the classroom, bring and prepare snacks, and pitch in on the big maintenance days and fundraisers.

I give blood, save up to three lives per donation. The ole' lady donates goods to the animal shelters. I don't give cash after seeing how several "charities" actually spend it.

I give blood on a regular basis to the Red Cross. The Salvation Army Christmas Angels, The wife and I usually pick 10 cards off the tree and buy a ton of gift of kids in need to help make their first holidays memorable ones. i started donating time weekdays to a local preschool they got iPads and needed help finding apps for the kids, and I also teach kids to use computers and operate Windows Pcs. It's awesome to give back.

I work part time at Home Depot. I volunteer for Team Depot when I can. Team Depot works with businesses or homes in the local area to provide various services to those in need. We build a lot of wheelchair ramps and redo bathrooms for vets and the aged. We've redone some playgrounds for local schools too plus a ton of other stuff.

We just worked with Detroit Dog Rescue and built 100 dog houses on Sept 8th.

I used to. Red Cross communication, Amateur Radio Emergency Service, event communications and ARRL nets.
I used to enjoy it, but that was before I went deaf and my health went to pot. Oh well......

I volunteer at animal shelters in four different counties frequently(2-4x mo,but who's counting?).

give/gave quite a bit to Shriners too

giving feels good :)
