I recently posted a new thread in the knife makers forum. It offers a way to donate knives to combat troops which ensures they get them, and avoids mailing constraints. Please feel free to visit the site and take a look at the thread.

more than knives, they need candy, wet-wipes, entertainment and other creature comforts...

now, here's a thought...
If you were an 11Bangbang (in the army of course) don't you already get a bayonet?

As for being over here myself as a contractor, mailing knives over here (through customs) is not a big deal. I have had 3 knives mailed to me (after ordering) and a tommahawk (ATC VTAC) with no problems.

I'd like to update this post. When I posted, I was unaware Roger Linger had already launched an organized iniative to send knives to Special Ops, read that Special Forces, troops who are serving in combat zones. There has been a lot of confusion about what and how to send knives to the troops, thus my post.

However, if you are interested in donating a knife to the troops, I urge you to visit the knife-maker forum and see Roger's post "Tactical knives...to Special Ops Troops." You can't miss it, it's already 8 or 9 pages long. Roger has sorted out the restrictions, etc, and has a great effort underway.

regards to all,

Dave
