Well we've finished training, (Most of which was BS, and not even closely related to what we will be doing in Iraq) and have been granted a whole 4 1/2 days off. The next phase doesn't have room for errors, and the targets there shoot back. This is as real as it gets, and I hope that the troops I've been training will finally realize it. I have troops as old as me, and some that are only 5 years older than my daughter. Most are in the mid 20's. I can only hope that the extra training, that some of us that have been in combat, have managed to squeeze into the training schedule will be enough to bring them home unscathed. The next step is an 18 hour flight to Kuwait, where we will have about 2 weeks of aclimatization, and then we move north to Fallujah. Flight and arrival times for both are still classified, so I don't officially know them.
The address I posted before is no longer a good address for me. As soon as I know it, I will post my APO address.
