I have been fortunate to just recently have acquired two straight handled Badgers, one INFI one A2, both with Eagle sheaths and both in perfect shape.

I was surprised to discover that the A2 Badger was significantly heftier than the INFI - upon comparing the two I noticed the reason was the blade thickness - it was significantly thicker on the A2 version hence accounting for the extra weight.

I was just curious - are all the A2 Badgers thicker and heftier then their INFI cousins?

Contender,
I agree with Ryu, it sounds like you have a 5/16" A2 Badger. I have one also and it is significantly heavier than my BA-E.
Nice find

Yeah, I measured it and it is definitely a 5/16" blade. Probably could pry open a car door with the thing - definitely heavy duty.

I assume not all the A2's were made with that stock??

Ohhhh, 5/16"! Thanks to GPB, I've also been corrupted by the 5/16" Badger bug. What we need now is to some current models run in the heavier stock...but make it INFI
