That is - don't buy one unless you're willing to reevaluate what you will pay for a good knife. This knife is a breakthrough in affordable quality bladeware.

Camillus- A 3/16" Companion - PLEASE
JUST DO IT - NOW

Anyone - Produce a line of aftermarket scales for this line of knives
I am CONFIDENT that if this could be done at the right price they would be almost as popular as the knives.

I believe the CU7 is poised to become one of the best selling fixed blades of all time.:)

Agree... we just need something a little handier than a 7" blade, since not everyone needs a combat-ready blade. A scaled-down Campanion would be terrific.

A regular sized campanion with scaled down grips would be great. I really like my campanion, but the slabs were just too big, and because they were not solid, I could not file/sand them to fit.

Aftermarket grips would fit the bill too I guess..

I really dislike misleading topic titles, especially when they slam a product. folks who do not read the thread, will see the topic heading and get a negative impression-just exactly the opposite of what the topic starter wanted

I agree, extremely poor choice of wording for this topic. I really thought someone had beef with the CU7.

Anyway, I believe you'll be hard pressed to find another fixed blade on the market for this price point with as many features or the high quality of the CU7. I was really impressed from the time I took mine out of the box. It has worked its way to the top of my list for hard use fixed blades. Camillus and Ethan Becker have really outdone themselves with the CU7.

Changed the title

Sorry, I thought everybody would be tired of looking at posts praising this knife so I worded the title to get more attention.

But this gives me another chance to generate support for a 3/16" Companion.

Camillus - PLEASE, JUST DO IT - NOW!

I know the CU7 has endeared itself to everyone who has handled it. It's not to difficult to imagine how nice a 3/16" Companion would be.;)

It worked for me!

It got my attention, I opened the thread, and read the entire thread.

This would not have happened if it was your basic praise-style title.
I can't speak for everyone, but I am more inclined to look at a thread where the consumer is unhappy with a product.
