Recieved a phone call today from the spouse. My Dui Chirra with extended tool kit arrived today. Downside is I am on the far side of the state and will be for the entire week :(

Oh well I will at least get to see it when I get home

HIKV Strikes again :)

I hope you got the lesson: Next time you travel, bring something to your wife.

Or she'll do it again :p

I understand you. There is a major lag at the Canadian Customs, and I'm at this address only for 1 more month :s Hope the knife will get here before I leave.

Cool so all I have to do is leave town and she gets me a HI.:p:thumbup:

I thank that would be some nice incentive to head out. Now If I can just convince the boss of that.

Well I finally got home an was able to put eyeball and hand on the blade. OMFG!!!!!!!!

21 inches of pure chopping power fairly well balanced compared to my M-43 and Museaum Model. The additional tool kit is fairly awesome as well. although the saw definately needs to have a set put to the teeth. But hey it's real nice example of village bladesmithing. Karda is an actual usable length. The Kukri chops like a chainsaw and lightsaber combined. I used it when walking through the overgrown jungle on the property looking for the property line. Again it is definately longer than I am used to but it did the job. Scabbard was tight enough to keep the blade contained but loose enough so that I could use my favorite fast (pistol) draw. The scabbard ( In my Opinion) needs to hang a bit lower than it does ( But I am quibbling here). It's good work from the HI crew and they definately Impressed me with it.

Next one on my HI shopping list is a Malla ( Once the Payroll gods smile on me again) followed by a Cherokee Rose ( or vice-versa) and then my standard model shopping is done unless a really oddball model comes up on a DOTD

Again a thumbs up to the HI crew and looking at the mark it's the same kami that made 3/4ths of my Kukris. Yangdu needs to let that gent know he has a very satisfied customer down here in Oklahoma. Dont know if thier religion allows tobacco or not but eventually I owe that gent a couple of good cigars for the work that he has done.
