You have more bandaids with you than I did last month in the Tetons. Inside left pocket via clip, blade walked open one inch, put thumb in pocket....OUCH!! They outa put the clip on the right end, tighten the blade, supply a sheath, or stick to sheath knives. It's been delegated to that graveyard for my castaway pocketknives, my tacklebox! BTW, has this site become a beacon for queers or what?

Sorry to hear that, I haven't had that happen with my Buck, but my Cuda did that once, and I still got this nice little scar and notch out of the side of my finger. Couldn't play the guitar for a week, not that I am any good at it.
Take care and don't lose any fingers, cause it sucks when they have to reattach them and fill the bone and stitch tendons back together.

Reed,

Man! Didn't you tell me that you got that scar from that 17 year old in Bangkok...or was it a snake in the Golden Triangle??? NOW I find out you got it from a KNIFE! It's hard to believe anything these days...:D

Your suppose to clip it in the right pocket. That way the blade is held in by the back seam of the pocket. :) This is a problem with liner locks if there is not enough tension from the detent.

If you want to rid yourself of that dangerous knife send me an email.

Tactical folder = tip up carry. End of topic.

"blade opened in pocket" situation caused by loose pivet pin. This should not have been shipped this way. Remove pivit pin, dry with acetone or alcohol, blue loctite and reinstall to desired tension. Let knife sit for 24 hrs. to allow loctite to work. If this is a difficult situation for you, send it back to Buck with a print of this letter and I assure you they will handle it properly and expediently.

Sorry about your digit, hopefully not your trigger finger.

Driving on,
Duane Dwyer

Once again, paying the price for being born a southpaw. Trouble is, shrink says it was all those people trying to make me righthanded in my youth that made me so CRAZY! Thanks Duane, cocking and safety thumb, not trigger finger.
