Tonight at 11:59:59 we will have a leap second added. I am sure all of you want to reset your computer clocks. That second could kill you on the Bay.:D
Jim

I have no idea, I run SocketWatch that pings 5 to 10 atomic clocks and sets my pc clock every 5 minutes and it popped up a warning yesterday afternoon that the leap second was occurring last night, I did not stay up long enough to see if the day felt longer.:D

Do you feel more rested? :p

BTW 10 clocks resetting every 5 minutes...methinks someone takes their ebaying seriously.

Started using Socket Watch years ago, when I had an old desktop with dying battery. It kept me up to the minute all for 10 dollars and I use it on every computer I have. Even the server at business runs it. OCD I understand, but nice. Auction Sentry keeps my Ebay bids coordinated standalone. :D
But it is nice knowing the correct time to set everything else to.:D

Jim

WT Heck is going on, just another pop up warning on the leap second, I got to find out what's up with SocketWatch.
Sorry for confusion,
Jim
Update: Once I did a manual sync with all assessable time sources. The warning went away. Now I am really confused.

Maybe to many atomic clock resets keeps throwing you back in time...:D

The leap second will be added 31 December 2008 at 23:59:59.

Right. I suspect Jim was just trying to trick us into letting him beat us out on something at ebay.

Sneakeee.

I don't worry about the exact time. Nothing important starts until I get there.

I thought about posting this in W&C, seems as if I should have, dumb clocks and sync programs, what do they know?:o

Jim

Well these folks keep my time, http://www.locutuscodeware.com/swatch.htm

Seems as if they had something wrong, but nice program. Free if you want to hit the update button yourself. But if wanting it to run in background, it is going to cost you 10 bucks. I have used it for years, very nice on old computers with dying clocks, can set to update every minute if you wish.

Try it, you might like it.

Jim
BTW: I did like it, until this glitch.:p

Wait a second here! My source tells me that the leap second won't be added until December 31, 2008...what's going on here?

Does anybody really know what time it is...

If I wait a second, and I should have added a second already, I'll be two seconds behind everyone else! :grumpy: Where is the flailing around in circles smiley when you need it?
