Decoration Day, now known as Memorial Day, originally a day to remember those who fell protecting our country.

Take some time, visit the resting places of loved ones who fought and paid the ultimate price serving our country.

Remember those who went before us, paying the price so we could enjoy what we have, and deserve to have their resting places remembered and decorated.

May not always be the easiest to do, location, family issues, emotional, but it is the right thing.

Violence is often the only answer because it is the only language tyrants speak.

Thank God for the brave Americans that do this on our behalf.

Thank you to all who have fallen.

And Thank you to all who are serving and have served.

A quick prayer thanking God for these special people and for him to be with them is how I start and end my Memorial Day!

Thank you all for your patriotic comments. Working today, by choice, on the museum ship USS Blueback. A fitting place -especially for us veterans - during such an important day. Come visit sometime. Permanently moored at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry on the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon.

We honor the brave service members who gave all and express our eternal gratitude to their families. To all who are serving, all who have served, all who support, and those who gave all, thank you and God bless. Taking the Military Oath of Service is a defining moment and a common bond we share that will never die.

Lest we forget!
As an Australian I thank the American who have fallen & those who have served. 👍

With reverence, in loving memory of those who have fallen in the name of our freedom.

Thank You, Service Members. I am eternally and profoundly grateful for how easy I have it because of you.
