I finished the leather for the duo of knives that Walt sent me. These are my first real attempts at tooling and dying different colors.

Here is the quad carry - smaller companion:

OH - and his matching Firesteel:

Now I just need to get the courage up to sell them - MAN - I don't need any more knives!

Great knives, TF. Love the handles on them... oh wait, this is about the sheaths? Yea, those are great as well :D

Dag-nabbit, TF! I'm going to have to make myself a knife just so I can send it to you for pants:D That leather came out incredible:thumbup:

Nice, well balanced with the blades, clean lines and exceptionally well executed. You’re a natural.

Thanks - I am going to make a removable firesteel holder for the smaller sheath - I need to figure it out and make it matching - but I will post a pic when done.

That horizontal carry sheath is the exact sheath, minus the tooling that I want for my RC3. I told you I was holding off sending the other knife to you so I can get a sheath made for my new RAT. It is in the mail on its way to me now!

Nice work you talfuchre :)

I would like to go back in time and give the cow that made that leather an extra bucket of grain, because that is simply some beautiful work.

Your leatherwork's grown in leaps and bounds over the past couple months, TF. Those are awesome. Nice knives too, Walt.

Yes, tremendous work!
Congrats.

I wonder how using dyed thread (to either match the inlay or sheath color) would look on these?

Question, not criticism:
What's with the popularity of sheaths with the flat section with a rivet in the corner?

I really like the 2-tone look and the particular tooling you are doing is one of my favorites. It really hides imperfections in the leather and ages well.

Good looking stuff.
