What's up everybody!?

I picked up a CRKT Hammond Cruiser partial serrated on the cheap. The handle really sold me and I've been interested in the LAWKS system for a while. What I need help with is that the blade is too dull.:grey: The grind is asymmetrical; it is like one side has an angle and the other side is just flat. I don't have any sophisticated sharpening tools--just a selection of stones and a Lansky 8" sharp stick. Should I try to put an angle on the flat side? Your advice is appreciated.

Is it unsharpened on the entire length of the blade? Or only on the serrated part? Serrated knives are usually sharpened only on one side. I don't own this knife, but I would presume it should have a V grind on the regular edge portion while the serrated potion is sharpened only on one side (chisel grind).

I do believe that is a chisel grind. I sharpen the one side on a stone and strop to shaving sharp on the CRKT knife I own. Take your time so as to not change the angle of the bevel and you can get it amazingly sharp!

What you are describing is a chisel grind, but I don't believe that knife model comes from CRKT as a chisel grind.

Did you perchance buy it at a gun show?

My <relative> got taken by a CRKT fake in a CRKT box (done really well) but had the usual knock off chisel grind. Before you spend time sharpening it, you might want to make sure it isn't a fake and not worth the effort on a set of stones.
