Don't like the blotchy look of your OT blades?

I never liked the blotchy "patina" on my 33OT Old Timer -- really dark in some places, almost shiny in others -- though I love the knife and marvel at how sharp it gets. I often see Old Timers with this same blotchy look when cruising Ebay for knives.

Well, last night I was polishing the brass on my Buck 55 with a Miracle Cloth and decided to give it a go on the blades of that Old Timer. Man, they look awesome now! It evened everything out, leaving just a nice even, dull grayish patina, much like the blade on my Grandad's old Dexter boning knife. And the best thing is, this is a non-abrasive polisher so no scratching at all. Highly recommended. (Sorry, guys ........ I don't have a digital camera.)

Thanks for the tip! I have seen those things advertised, but didn't know how or if they worked.

I love mine. I bought 2 off Ebay a couple years ago (they were really cheap). I still haven't even opened the second one. Saving it. They're great for polishing up brass bolsters like on my LB7 and Buck 55. But they work great on dull old bolsters too and (see above) carbon steel blades.
