Thanks Rats! I was very pleased at what I found under the coating. I've hit a run of bad grinds lately so I was a little apprehensive about this one.

The Mastiff ranks up there with the SHSH I did a few years back, it was darn near a satin/BB finish under there! The last strip job I did was a Desert Satin Jack Tac and it looked like it had skipped across the grinder a few too many times. uuuuuuuuuuugly. :grumpy:

My faith is partially restored.

If its the one that a fellow borrowed, and went on to destroy a pallet full of nails, there by gouging the coating then yea. It cleaned up real nice eh? Not even a scratch in the metal even though the gouges were very pronounced. Now to go out and attack those evil tree branches, they need to be tamed!
