Don't panic, I'm testing banner ads

Remember that thread we had where everyone agreed banner ads were ok?
You may see some banner ads come across as I test some settings.

Currently the setup is for non-registered users while I test. Eventually banner ads will be shown to everyone who does not have a paid subscription.

I'm testing things out right now, so don't get too used to how it looks.

I actually log off each time I depart. So when I go to BF to log in, the log-in screen shows the banner ad. They look OK to me.

I note that an extra cookie is also placed on my computer. ads.bladeforums.com
Not to worry, I keep tight control on cookies and delete them frequently. I'm just noting its presence.

i see a huge "bladeforums" banner ad, when i clicked it, it routed me to bladeforums at least its better than the ad council ones that were up earlier

Just noticed the banners a few minutes ago. At first it seemed a bit larger than life up at the top of the screen, but that's only because we are used to not seeing ads here. When you think about it, it's not too bad. The banner stays at the top of the page and as you read threads and post you are scrolling down through the thread and you don't see it anymore anyway.
