I learned this only a few hours ago.... When I dropped my Meaner Street! I did the right thing and didn't try to catch it since I've made that mistake before :o But this time my right foot was between it and the floor... let's say it never did hit the floor but instead was stopped by one of the bones in my foot  ER doc said I was lucky that it didn't hit any large artery but it did earn me several stiches... some inside and some out  I'll get some pics if I can borrow a digital camera from my cousin, but for now I'm gonna sleep which is what I should have been doing when I was playing with the knife :(

yup that's happened to me - catching a knife with my foot. Didn't need stitches though, but it just bled and bled for a while

My brother once was throwing a knife into the ground just for fun. Then he had the idea of attaching a rope to the end so he could pull it up easier and swing it around like he was some kind of ninja.

One of the times he threw it the rope snagged on his shoulder and the knife went through hs boot and into his foot..... :D

i couldn't stop laughing....

Yep my Strider SLCC fell out of the neck sheath and stuck in the top of my foot , kinda funny now but had use super glue to close it up. :foot:

OUCH!!!

Man does that suck! The point on the Meaner Street is wicked. I've pictured this happening to myself when I'm playing around with one of my Meaner Streets. Sure glad it hasn't happened... yet! Hope your foot heals up... Jerry needs to make us some INFI boots!

Just imagine how bad it could be if you dropped a 5/16" variety on your foot......I thought about that as I was tying my D-Guard on my SH without a sheath....well, the factory tactical cardboard sheath and that was it.

Hope it heals quickly

Dropping an HOFSH would not be enjoyable, I can tell you that.

I did drop it, luckily my foot was not in the way, but the marble tile was and it went crack. I had to replace a perfectly good 12 x 12 marble floor tile. Luckily the knife had no marks on it afterwards.

I have cut myself to many times to even think of. Usually doing something stupid. :foot:

Imagine dropping a BM on your foot, point down?

It would be more like through your foot... :D

I wonder if they make kevlar boots. to protect against that sort of thing.

like shiv resistant. for corrections officers.

no but steel tips are always a good idea. I have them, but they are never on my feet when something bad happens.

Ouch! That has to hurt.

Just today I was stropping my knife (the EU-17 Mag) in case I go for a hike tomorrow. I put the knife down with my left hand but my right index finger was in the way. Only the weight of the knife made the slice but it still took off a good size chunk of skin. About 2 cm squared. :p It was pretty cool because I didn't feel any pain as it sliced.  (to sharpening) :D

We get that in the ER at LEAST twice per week. The typical story in triage is the mom. The second most typical story is some guy cutting things like boxes with a box cutter or knife at work or home, the least frequent thing is the stabbing victim. But, it's usually momas preparing meals that have the kitchen knives on the counter, then as they do something, they knock the knife off the counter and it falls, slicing or stabbing their foot.

Remember to have your tetanus up to date. Get a booster if it's been more than 5 years.

Suture set up for inner fascia/muscle and skin:

I thought that meant he couldn't have any children.

What a sense of humor and warmness. I recently posted a pic of a Sebenza I just got on the CRK forum and got a few hello's after a week.

When I posted a pic of my first Busse here, I got 20 hello's and welcome's within a day or two.

Amazing what a very different group of people buy these two different knives. Much, Much more community over here.

ERDept,
Actually, we're just keeping a close eye on each other for inattentiveness and slip-ups we can capitalize on to hog more INFI from each other. Ya gotta be close to the victim to steal his INFI. ;) All that back-slappin' and glad-handing goin' on among the Busse Trough Wallowers ain't some kinda secret Hog Hankshake takin' place. That's a pat-down checking for stray INFI. Yeah baby, FEEL THE LOVE!!
