Don't stick your thumb in a fan

As most of you know, I'm way behind, WAY BEHIND, with my shop schedule... But then this last week I went and allowed my thumb to get sucked into an air compressor fan.

Don't ask me how, I really don't know. I was helping my sister use the compressor, and next thing I know, I could read my heart-rate by the blood surging out of my thumb.

Thankfully it just mangled it. I got it cleaned, stitched up, and it's healing now. It shouldn't be life altering.... definitely something you worry about when you work with your hands.

Point of posting: There are several guys on this forum waiting on me, and now I just hit a major road-block.

I'm not looking for any sympathy, I just wanted to let you all know

Heal up quick Bubba, thankfully you still have 10 fingers.

The biggest problem for now, is with the stitches in it, I can't bend the thumb at all... it's similar to when I broke the other one.

I'm "lucky" that it's on my right hand. I'm left-handed...and as Murphy usually gets his $0.02 in, I've broken my left arm and hand three seperate times! :mad:

You're gonna look funny runnin around town with a condom on your thumb! But you could put a hot pink one on and still attract the gals (heheheheh).

I would like to think I haven't really broken my arm that many times!

Bill, I had Nurse Alana look at it, and she said I'm a big whuss, that it's nothing more than a little scratch, and that I shouldn't have even needed a little band-aid! :eek:
