Seems like I've been telling my son these words a little too often lately. I've always had an inerest in knives. Just never really got serious about it. Went to a gun show in early November and started checking out the knives that were displayed. Couldn't afford a new pistol and didn't want to leave empty handed. I ended up buying two cheap Chinese imported knives. I kind of had to buy at least one since I cut myself and bled on it. Before the bloodshed, I was able to handle a few higher priced knives. Spyderco, Ka-Bar, Buck, and of course some Kershaws. I didn't buy any of them since I felt pretty ignorant when it comes to quality knives. But I left with some model numbers and and itch that needed to be scratched.
Anyway, forward to the present day. I have more knives than I know what to do with. And more than I'd like my wife to know about. I'll admit, some in the following list, I bought for the simple fact that I like them and have no plans t use them on a regular basis. In the past, I've had a couple of Gerber multi tool knives and I think I've lost a couple of cheap (less than $20) Buck knives. I don't think I've really noticed Kershaw in the past. But once I did, there was no turning back. So here's what I have in my inventory at the present time.

Buck Special 119
Buck 110
Dajo Survivor
Buck Vantage Select 345
2 Gerber multi-tool (unsure of the models)
A couple of low end SAK

And here's all the Kershaw knives I bought since November:

1445 1/2 Ton
1446 3/4 Ton
1447 1 Ton
1990 Brawler
1670S30V Blur
1551TI Cryo
1490X Tension
1760 Skyline
1760OR Skyline

I have my eye on a couple more of the Blur knives and have been trying to track down one of the fixed blade Skylines. I actually took a 80 mile drive on Christmas Eve to look for the fixed blade Skyline and they didn't have it in stock. I had to settle for the orange Skyline and the Tension instead. So all was not lost I suppose.

Sorry about the long post, but this forum is cheaper than a therapist.

Well... cheaper in the sense that I have someone to talk to. But I get your drift. I really didn't need another expensive hobby. I promised the wife I wouldn't buy any radio gear this year. I didn't break that promise, just spent the radio money on something else.

In all seriousness, with your lack of self control... stay far away from the CRK forum. Seriously.

I don't think I have to worry about the CRK forum at this time. I'm not allowing my eyes to wonder onto other manufacturer's websites until I have every model listed in teh Kershaw catalog. And then maybe some other limited editions not in the catalog.

Buying from the catalog is no fun. The hunt is the best part! :p

You, my friend... are doomed.

I dread the day I get the CRK bug. Honestly, I hope it never happens. Adding up totals some people spend on those knives scares me.

That being said, I gotta agree, stuff out of the catalog is much more fun to hunt down
