So I asked for a Spyderco Southard from my wife for my birthday. I might (maybe, possibly, perhaps) have seen the email once she ordered it and could have (potentially, hypothetically, speculatively) seen that it has arrived. Birthday is less than 10 days away, but don't think I'm going to make it. Thoughts?
 
Tell her you decided to buy it for yourself. Then you get to see what kinds of reasons she gives you to NOT buy it. Done this before myself and found it to be entertaining.

Of course if she says nothing then you have two of them.:thumbup:
 
This suggestion has potential...It's slightly complicated by the fact that I gave her a rash of shit for trying to open her birthday presents early.

I agree to the let the wife have the moment. In my Valentine thread I explained that my wife had attempted to order me a Spyderco on the sly using my catalog, only to figure out that she couldn't find my catalog. She ended up telling me about the "surprise" and asking me to order it myself. I prefer my wife never orders me any knife without checking with me first, because every time she's done it in the past, she's gotten it wrong. Anyway, she slips up from time to time and tries surprises......which she knows I absolutely detest!!
 
There's no need to second guess yourself. She probably got you the Southard. On the off chance she didn't, you might want to very casually ask if any of her single friends are into pocket knives.
 
You don't need to second guess whether your wife bought you a Southard; just whether she mistakenly bought a fake one ;) and in any case, you're unworthy of the gift if you go hunting for it.

Worth every damn minute of waiting. I love this frikin' knife.

Also, definitively not fake. She did good.
