I know it's probably been debated before, but what are peoples opinions on the spyderco mouse vs the toad? I'm debating on which one to purchase for basic daily carry...

I'd go for the Mouse, DD -- better handle ergonomics, more useful blade shape, etc. IMO, the Toad was very aptly named.

There is no comparson to me. The Mouse has a much, much better handle, especially for someone with big hands. It also is made of better blade steel (AUS 8 vs. VG-10).

I have both and they are both very good little knives and I like them a lot. The Mouse probably has a somewhat handier blade but it is larger and heavier, (not a lot though). The Toad is a neat little knife and a great knife for everyday carry. They both lock up solid. AUS-8 is fine for pocket knife steel. VG-10 will hold an edge somewhat better but they are both good stain resistant steels. I feel you can't go wrong with either one of these knives.
