So anyways as I was about to put on my shoes and head to the bank today, the doorbell rings...opened the door and its the mail man!

I received my Paramilitary 2 today!...2 days earlier than what I was expecting... granted I had it shipped through express mail but still...usually it doesn't get to Alaska for a full 2 days...

Ran to my room like a little kid on christmas morning trying to open the package...One thing I have to say: I LOVE this knife...it's the perfect size for me...not too big, not too small...and although it is about the same overall length as the cara cara 2, this one feels so much shorter. In other words to me, it's a bigger knife that feels small...which is perfect to me :thumbup::thumbup:

No blade play at all..no side to side, up and down, or whatever
Very smooth opening/ closing
Love the lock (although still have to get used to it but I love how i can just flick it to close)
very sharp
Love the blade shape
Perfect ergonomics
Very nice grip
Nice steel
and overall a 9.5 out of 10 in my book ;)

I deducted a .5 for only ONE thing.... the knife came tip down carry but when I switched it, one of the holes on the knife wasn't tapped right and stripped one of the screws for the clip. Tried another screw and stripped it as well... But its not a big deal to me really. I just put some loctite on it and it feels pretty snug now.

Now I know there isn't really a "perfect" knife..but to me this comes pretty dang close. Looks like I'll be carrying this one for a while ;)

And I'm so glad that this one is made in planet Earth...I only prefer planet Earth-made knives...

I'm glad others are having good deliveries to them! :) Then again, it's hard to go wrong with the para 2.

You're going to love that knife.
 
ANOTHER SURPRISE!!

So just checked my mail box today to get the mail and I got another surprise!
Since my mind have been totally preoccupied with the Para 2..I totally forgot about the flashlight that I ordered... got my Led Lenser P3 today :D

Great Light, very bright for its size (for a single AAA torch)
Cheap and affordable
great fit and finish
great size for EDC

10 out of 10! :D

I know how you feel. I woke up to a Dragonfly G10 at the door this morning.
 
I'm feeling your joy:) My sprint Paramilitary 2 arrived a couple of days ago, orange G-10 with CTS-XHP steel.

Congratulations on your surprise deliveries. The Paramilitary 2 is an amazing knife and you are going to love it like the others said. Having a good flashlight in your pocket is good thing too. Enjoy!
 
I also received a Para2 in the mail today. Good day for a lot of folks, I guess.

That's alright, I understand. That's a great looking Para though!! I love it. Athough I don't think I'd EDC it...I'd probably keep it in new condition as a collection and edc my normal para :p

That is so weird about the tip up carry screw. I have the exact same issue with my sprint carpenter steel version. I ended up getting it to a relatively tight position by cross threading it, but it is still visible. Must be a factory problem.

Oh wow....That's the SAME EXACT screw that got messed up on mine too. I ended up switching it to tip down carry last night...

Lol...this para 2 definitely is going to be my last purchase for a while...I just spent about 300$+ on just knives in just about 4 days...This addiction has really got me...
 
Sure do!....postman dropped off large knife today....13 1/2 inches of 1095 goodness....both by Backwoods forge.......i thought id share my new joy!!........................FES
