Doom. The movie.

Pretty much the same here.....Should be interesting to see what they have done with some of the mutants..
 
Yep, I'm gonna have to see it, and my wife's gonna have to get those eyes looked at the way they're rolling up and all.

They were talking about making a Doom movie years ago and it never panned out. The original Doom was released in 1993 I believe and was a great old DOS game. In fact I used to make my own levels for it with DoomCAD.

I'd like to see this at some point. Thanks for the news. :thumbup:
 
I have not seen a movie starring The Rock that I did not enjoy fully. I'm not saying they're all good. just that they are all fun. The Rundown was the best dollar I've ever spent (second run). Therefore I cannot see how Doom could possibly not be enjoyable.
 
BTTT 'cause I watched it tonight, it was a fairly good science fiction/action flick, but if they changed the "United Aerospace Corporation"'s name to "Umbrella" and left out the BFG it would be much more reminiscent of Resident Evil than DOOM.

They did a first person view sequence which was pretty cool and a great tribute to the games.

I think they wanted to add too much of a storyline to a movie that just doesn't go well with one.

Me too, while I cant abide wrestling I loved The Rock in The Scorpion King and later Rundown. I think we will be seeing a lot more from him (hopefully) in the future. :thumbup:
 
Yeah I will probably see it when it comes out on dvd.

It just occured to me that quite a few different game based movies will be comming out in the near future. I.E. Halo will be out in a year or two and with it being produced by Peter Jackson I'm farely sure it will be better than the average game/movie. Also Max Payne and Hitman are comming out some time aswel. I think that Metal Gear Solid is also comming out as a movie but this is just rumor I believe.
