I bought a new 271 Camo Dorado and was disappointed to notice after a few days a blunt spot on the blade edge and a matching nick on the opposite inside frame work.. I will try and fix the problem by removing some material with a small file. Any play on a blade or blunt spots due to a blade catching somewhere on the frame makes a folder more or less useless in my book.

Welcome to the forums.
please post pics as we cannot see what you are seeing,
and we would like to see, you see.:D

Welcome to the forums....sorry to hear of what brings you here though. Those knives have a close tolerance between the edge and the part that got hit on yours. I was told that it means that the edger did not do enough passes and that leaves a little extra metal there. You can sharpen it out or send it in and we will gladly do it for you.
Again, welcome to the forums.

I got a Alpha Dorado folder with the birch-handles recently from wildealz on e-bay. Price was good as they are very expensive in the EU 70-90Euro.At first I was a little disappointed, the handles felt rough and the stainless looked like it had been knocking about in a cutlery drawer...still a little nickel polish and some beswax soon fixed that. Now I like it a lot, sturdy liner lock very nice blade on mine and convenient size for carrying everyday everywhere. QUESTION though:what is the Rosewood handle version like compared to this? Does it have superior blade and better finish or do you pay extra just for rosewood and leather sheath? Very pleased now.

Yes, I'm getting even more pleased with my Dorado as it is such a convenient carrier. The nylon sheath may well be more functional but the leather looks better!Mind you, I have concerns about how easy it is to open the sheath=shade too easy next thing no knife aaaaaarrrrrrgghhh!
