Do any of you have any experience with these flashlights, and if so what do you think? I have a local retailer that is going out of business and I can buy these things for $11 a piece(reg. price $19.99) and that is with three Energizer AAA cells included. I already own several Surefires and a couple Streamlights, and I don't expect them to be on that level. I was just wondering if for that price it would be worth buying several to throw into B.O.B. bags(I have a lot of them), trunks, glove compartments and what not. Is there a better built, more durable, longer lasting, brighter light out there for $11? What are y'all's thoughts. Let me also say that yes, I realize they are cheap unregulated flashlights, and I am not a gadget Geek, nor am I trying to signal home the Mother Ship to the pick up point from Deep Space. Just looking for a few decent, tough inexpensive flashlights. Already got the high dollar stuff covered. Thanks.

Heck, get a couple. I paid $18 for one and was pretty happy. I gave it to a lightless friend last camping trip and he's still got it. A little bulky for EDC but a great light to have around.

Let's see here...

I have one in each car, one in the truck, one on the desk here, one by my alarm clock...

I'd say buy a bunch. I really don't think you can beat them for $11. I'm pretty sure one will outlast an eleven dollar meal. I'm less sure that a single good light will outlast the number of Metal Gears you can buy for the same money.

Yes, for $11, they would be a steal. I have one that sees light use at home and I keep one in my pickup. I like them for their wide, floody beams (I have other lights if I need a focused spot, which is not often).

Some dislike the little plastic dealy that holds the three AAAs in place but it doesn't bother me. I will confess, I've never been able to pin down whether or not they are regulated, but for $11, AND for an LED, you can't go wrong.

Grab 'em while you can! If he has more flashlights than you have glove compartments, toolboxes, etc. you can keep them in a bag and hand them out to your friends and relations any time you go out in the dark together.

That's a good idea Cougar, but there are some of my "Relations" that I would rather not be able to find their way back!:D

Walmart is clearing these out at the same price, $11. They are a great deal at that price. It is very easy to replace the LED in these if you want them to be even brighter. Only downside to them is the 3xAAA battery configuration. I am not fond of that.

Put a secret mark on the ones with almost-depleted batteries -- better yet file a tiny notch so you can reach into the bag and identify them by feel. :D

Another here... I've got four or five. Nightstand, both cars, motorcycle storage bag. There is no comparison with my E2E *but* it does compares favorably with my more expensive Streamlight Twintask.

I bought another for the wife at clearance.

Okay, I'm back. I just bought 10 of them. I might go back and get more. While I was there I also bought three Buck 110s for $23 a piece that I absolutely do not need(IMPULSE BUY!!), but the little voice in my head took over again. I haven't bought a Buck knife in over 10 years. He also has some 119s and a couple of Nighthawks seriously discounted...Wait a minute, I'll be right back guys...:D

If they're anything like the Dorcy Tactical LED light, they're a good buy for that price. I picked one of those up for my dad awhile back because I wanted him to have a good LED light and knew he wouldn 't want to buy CR123's for it. Been very happy with it. The AAA's have lasted quite awhile and the light is surprisingly bright.

They're a good basic LED flashlight. At $11.00 a bargain.
Also, if you ever have the urge, they can be easily upgraded by an emitter swap.
BTW, this model is not regulated. There is a resistor in the circuit which keeps the Luxeon 1 emitter from being fried. Swap out the Lux for a nice Seoul emitter and bypass the resistor and you get a really bright light (close to 100 lumens) for cheap.
