DOT Stamp On 106 Axe Sheath Hardware: Meaning?

Anyone know the meaning of this stamp into the twisty closure knob of the 106 axe sheath? I've only found it on the sheath for the Burgundy handle variant. The black Micarta handle model's sheaths have no alphabetic imprint, of the two that I have.

My googling key words involved buck, 106 and axe. As did my search on this forum. Both searches ended without joy.

off topic: Meaning of life... There isn't any other than that which you choose to give it. DOT does it for me today.
