Wow - is that like a mini Tamang? The picture is playing tripcks on my perspective. It looks like the sheath is reflecting in the blade, but it also looks like the blade is on top of the sheath... Could you post more pics? I think im digging that shape alot
 
Umi, what you see is the black scale left from the forging. On villagers they don't grind it off and polish it off.
I love the look of it myself. Many klvuk's are the same way, black scale down to where the blade is sharpened.
 
Farm Knife is a great chopper!

Golly, I want one or a Farmcata so bad. However, there are plenty others I covet as well. It just looks like the perfect kitchen knife and I love to cook.
 
Dang, missed it. I've been keeping my eye out for one of these or a Farmcata. I think I like the Farmcata better anyways. Nice snag Umi! Post more pics when you get it!
 
I dont think ive seen a farmcata, could someone post a pic?

Edit: i searched, and saw several Farmcatas. I like the kuk style handle more, am very excited to hold this chopper!

Wow!!! You can see the Hamon or temper line in the blade just like a good dual hardened katana. Sweet!

Im stuck looking from my phone, is that the Hamon that looks like where the blade begins to taper to the edge? At first i thunk it was taper, but after your post, i see it getting closer to the edge at the tip, and the riccaso. On needles and pins i am sitting! I cant wait to hold this!

Thank you Bawanna, my phone is just big enough where when i view it at arms length, the picture comes into focus at precisely the time its too small to make out detail. I need to get a 24" flatscrone.

That was a great deal on a Tirtha Farm knife! He's the master of the farm knife. Wait till you put it in your hand. It wreaks of chop! KLVUK grind on a bad boy piece of steel:thumbup:

That is definitely a hamon I see there. I would be very excited too waiting for that beauty. The hamon will become more apparent the more and more you use it. It will really stand out if you cut some oranges or lemons. The high acidity in citrus fruit will "discolor" or oxidize the blade and bring out the natural hamon. Its already showing a hamon so it will really pop after a few months.
