It's time for making kindling here in the NW, this morning I selected my VUK for the chore but that Police Special looks like it might work really nice. I can't get this one at this time but I might grab the next that comes along. Great looking knife and nice an light. Knife looks real fine on Russel too.
 
EMS for the 22" Chainpura Sirupati. Got the Done Deal. Early Christmas present for myself.

This one surprised me. The handle is very shapely and comfortable to hold. The knife does weigh 30 oz as posted, but feels heavier. That's because the balance point is a full 6" forward of the bolster. The spine is an unusual 1/2" thick near the bolster and tapers very gradually toward the tip.

The edge geometry seems a bit thin for heavy chopping. I'd say this is more of a berserker blade. Probably would cleave right through a shield and helmet, though I doubt I'll ever have an opportunity to put that to the test. At least I hope not.

It has the butt and pointiness of a chainpuri, and the heft, weight and engraving of a single-fuller chitlangi. All and all a nice addition to the collection. Also, it's a bit longer than the posted 22", more like 22.5". I like that Yangdu does not exaggerate in her postings, unlike most commercial or individual sellers.

That VUK looks like one of the nicer ones.....and wth a sheath to boot. Someone will be getting a great rig there!
