Awww, i think that lil ugly fella is kinda cute:) If I weren't tapped out for the week (thanks to my diesel truck needing both an oil change AND an A/C recharge), I'd be all over it.

I think it has a neat Ganga/bonecuttery look to it:)
 
Hmmm, anyone else find this ugly khuk to be in fact the prettiest? At that price point, can't say I've been this tempted in a while. HIKV possibly coming out of remission...

I got it sittin right here and although it feels pretty sweet in your hand.....It's ugly.
It's all well and fine until your friends catch you waving it around....

That "ugly" villager is the best buy that has been offered on this forum in about a decade, and if I didn't have a car in the shop with a bum transmission I'd be on that like - like ugly on a pig!:D
 
I'm really tempted to buy that "ugly" villager, and it seems like a great deal for the price. I'm looking for one that's slightly larger, and I kind of want a scabbard. But I mean... $45. I'll have to think about it, but for that price it seems like a great deal and would be a good first Khukuri. Would it be better for smaller jobs, and not good for bigger chopping jobs?

The karate Ang Khola looks like 1/2 of a pair of scissors! If you laid another one just like it on top of it, it would look like a pair of scissors.... Its neat though. It would be best as a decorative piece. I dont know if the handle would hold up to hard, repeated chopping. But thats OK, its unique.
 
That villager looks like a prehistoric Bonecutter. Could be one heckuva chopper with that wide bevel. SCR, a review is in order sir!

Except the cho and the curvature of the blade, everything looks almost identical.

I agree with you jdk1 but I was a little too late and that ugly duck got away. Hopefully I'll get another chance if more of them turn up.

I agree that's it's ugly, but there is a certain allure to it. Definitely wouldn't be afraid to be rough with it. I hope there'll be a chance for some more of these. What am I saying?! I just bought an M43 and have two from the Nepal Cache on the way! Man this is bad!
