Hi Everyone.

I have a question about the DOTD. Does the deal stay in effect until it has a "sold" indicator beside it?
If so do you contact Yangdu directly by email, or do you call by phone?
I see DOTD that don't have "sold" indicators and was wondering what happens to them.
I hate being the new kid and asking dumb questions.

Hello joe! Welcome to the H.I. forum!
Generally yes, that would be the case, but as oldschool stated sometimes auntie forgets to mark them.

You may call by phone, but you may not always get thru. When auntie is on the computer she is not near her phone. If you must call please call during normal business hours, Reno nevada time.

It is usually best to send an email to her, she usually responds promptly and will let you know if wether or not you got the item. (they are sold on a first come, first served basis).

Generally auntie will repost them at a later time, sell them at a deeper discount or give them away as gifts.

It's OK....not the first time...nor the last.
Please make yourself at home.

Looks like they've got your questions covered JOE68. Welcome to the group and good luck on your DOTD hunting.

Welcome to the forum & fyi everybody was once a new guy. Those questions aren't dumb read the link oldschool posted to warty's thread on how to shark a dotd i found it very helpful, myself.

Don't sweat it, Joe. Asking questions is how we learn. You should have seen the amount of idiotic questions that this one dumb college kid used to ask when he first got here. I mean, wow, what a n00b. I think this was back in spring of '02. Whatever happened to him?;) well, I'm pretty sure he's still plenty dumb, but at least he probably learned a thing or two about HI and khuks in general:D

The questions that are asked time and time again are important ones. If there is anything any of us can do to help ya out, ask away.

Thanks everyone for your assistance.
I pulled the trigger on a CAK on the 28th so now it is wait time.
If this is like most of my hobbies I could be in trouble---- I usaually get deep into them.
HIKV may be an issue since I already have some more picked out that interest me.

Welcome to the forum, JOE68.

If you haven't already done so, I suggest that you consider getting a spare sheath. Yangdu is selling them for $20 as a fundraiser for Kami medical costs. Details are in the link below.

Here's the sheath with a 16.5 inch 30 ounce CAK:
