I'm thinking about getting a Double Bevel. Has anybody used it yet? Any thoughts?

Highest quality fit and finish I've ever seen on a production folder.

The flat ground tanto portion is incredible at slicing.

The hollow ground section transitioning to flat ground, with the swedge, makes for a beautiful blade.

The handle is just big enough for a full grip, while keeping the knife small enough to wear in a suit pocket.

The lock is almost as thick as the blade, it clacks open like a frame lock / bank vault. Lock is also perfectly fit, equal to any custom I've handled.

Just sticking with Spyderco production folders for a reference, how does it compare with the Starmate? Vallotton, Gayle Bradley, Hungarian? I know comparing against Taichung folders might be tough, just trying to get some reference before I drop some cash on one.

Thanks for the review link. I have just sold a fixed blade Tanto and I miss it already. Saw the Double Bevel in my Spyderco catalog and went - hmmm!
May just need to add this one.

Though I just looked at several tube videos and no one seems overly impressed - "a gentleman's knife" at best. Low praise. Still I would like a folding tanto. Will need to study the options- if any.

I still regularly carry mine.
It's amazing how much blade length is packed into this slim and simple knife. More cutting edge than a Delica, yet narrower in pocket. Love the classy simple lines.

Mine is also a complete cherry also. Haven't handled any others, but the one I got is probably one of the top 5 smoothest out of the box knives I have. Blade swings freely and so quick that I keep expecting blade play, but none at all. It is smoother than my Sage 3, which is a knife often mentioned for its' smooth action.

I have also lightly considered picking up a second to have reground to a FFG and round off the modified tanto point... but just dreaming at this point.

Here are some older photos from last summet of mine:

...surprised I don't already have some photos of it closed...? I'll try to remember to snap some later. :)
