I'm gonna hunt down a fine looking (high-sheen, satin finish, screaming-edged) double bit axe...one that can hang in a wall display...but be devastating to a tree that's overstayed it's welcome in the yard -

Suggestions - ? Cegga...? other makers I should look up?

Thanks much!

I suggest the DIY approach of polishing up a vintage axe head and putting it on a nice handle (maybe staining the wood).

Here's what "Uncle Pimpy" did with an old Sager double bit:

Watch eBay there is some nice Kelly Michigan pattern double bits out there. Or yard sales and flea markets too

Take a look at Council Tool's 3.5# Double Bit Classic Michigan Axe. Almost a copy of a vintage Kelly Perfect double bit.

This has my vote. The other option is to find a nice vintage axe at a flea market, estate sale or auction website.
