Here's a double-bit hatchet from "MooreMaker".
14", 4140 steel, Rockwell 50. 50 bucks list.
Haven't seen any mention of it on this forum.
Anyone have experience with it?

They make very decent knives. That's just what I need to finish off my nessmuk set. I could do without the red haft though. Thanks for posting this.

Best regards

I suppose a good burn with a torch would take care of the paint. Looks like a nice axe. I have the Marbles version.

Queen and Bear MGC make Mooremaker pocket knives. I wonder who makes these? Mooremaker is just a distributor IIRC.--KV

I'm very interested in one as well.I'm still searching for that perfect Nessmuk-style ax.
I'm not sweating the red handle.A little circa 1856 will take care of that in a hurry.

yeah, that's pretty sweet.
red handles gotta go though.
"nessmuk" was my first thought also.
thanks for the post...

Got mine ! 13.5 inches long total. 12 inches long handle. handle about hammer thickness. Same angle on both sides of 5 inch head. Angles of blades look like splitters.
not sharp. leather cover. Head shiney and has old Timey feel with the writing on it.

That's what I thought from the pic. Wonder if you can thin it down?
