Double Bit Wood Splitting, It's All In The Wrist.

That works good with the right wood but doesn't work with all species. Knots also are a problem with this technique.
 
Knots are always a problem and is why a try to avoid them by splitting around/along side them. Also: The dryer the round the better.


On the other hand there's always Noodling. :D

555, I saw that exact same video on Arboristsite when I was lurking over there. This thread reminds me that I really need to sharpen my double bit axe. I don't burn wood so I don't have to split wood, though.
