My latest two blade trapper. This one has a filework pattern that is a variation of the one I usually use. Knife is 3 3/8" closed. Thanks for looking.

Another great one
Someday I'll lock myself in the shop until I figure out the slip joint thing or run out of steel:D I usually end up making another attempt each time you post pictures like this.

I've seen a lot of wondeful filework, and this is a showstopper! Your patterns are always precise, but this steps out of the box just enough to make things very interesting. How did the pattern come about?

I already know how well-made Don's knife is, as I bought one two years ago. Wonderful. :)

Thanks.

Coop

Thanks for the great comments guys. I really appreciate them. Matt-slip joints are fun knives to make (a little frustrating sometimes) so don't give up.
Coop-I've been trying to come up with something a little unique for at least some of the knives I make. This pattern evolved from that and a request from a customer who asked if I had anything a little different for filework on a double blade knife. I had used this pattern on two single blades knives to see how it would look on a knife. This is the first time I've used it on a double blade knife. I'm interested to know how other people feel about this pattern.
Thanks, Don :D :D

Another nice one. Your posts are always great looking knives. How thick are your double bladed trappers?

Suerte,
My double blade trappers are approximately 3/8" + in thickness. I try to thin them down so they are as close to 3/8" as possible.
Thanks, Don :)
