What is the double cut finish? I'm thinking of getting a mean street and just wondering what the double cut is because it's not on there site in the finishes page. Thanks Guys, a picture would be great as well

To expand on that, DCBB means a grit blast of some sort, followed by a bead blast.

Here's a DCBB Pork Shank with black canvas and a satin one with Ivory G10.

Here are a pair of SAR3s I don't own anymore. Bottom one is DCBB

Thanks for the picture....I am quite envious of the pork shanks by the way, beautiful blades

The dc finish for the AMS is the box on the far right. When you select it you should see the price increase $30 I think.

Here is a BOSS Jack prototype with an aftermarket double cut finish:

On my CGBJ it was an extra $50 I think. It does look pretty nice out of the box. But for a user I personally think it's just pissing your money away. Seems like the Satin or CF wears significantly better. Only thing that wears worse in the looks dept. is the coated blade.

I have a dc basic 10 and I think it is easy to keep nice.

How do you keep it looking nice? I think Garth once posted that he liked the look of a DC when it's a user. I guess it's just a matter of taste.

I am also curious what the definition of "nice" is here? Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. So if you feel a blade that shows a lot of healthy/honest wear is "nice", I can understand. But if we're talking nice is like new, again, how are you keeping a DC user like new??

used it to chop up 4 to 5" diameter branch. washed it with hand soap and scrubbed with paper towel. just looking at blade you can't tell it was used. catch a light reflection off it and you can see some very minute scratches.

Thanks for the reply, I'll have to try that next time.:)
