Tonight, Ol' Skunk Breath is releasing a very unique SAR 4 with Black Canvas handles and Double Cut finish!
Here's how these blades came to be . . . .
I had to have both of my knees worked on for a few weeks before BLADE. So, I put Garth and Amy in charge of the shop (not that I'm ever really in charge) and then proceeded to get drunk! . . . . So far, so good!
Then, like a tornado striking out of the blue, disaster struck!!!!. . . .Or should I say, "Skunk struck"!!!!. . . . . As it turns out, the mistake that I made was telling Skunk that I would be out of action for a while!!!. . . . So, while I was incapacitated by a number of Johnny Walker Blue bottles, SkunkHOG sprung into action with some of the finest HOG Hijinks that I have yet to witness!!!. . . .
. . .
The long and short of it is that the final run of satin finished SAR 4s with G10 handles were completed and sitting in the laser room, waiting to be marked. Garth, who hadn't been drinking, received a call from Idaho. After hearing the story that he was told, he had his grinding team remove the G10 handles and fitted them with black canvas grips! . . . . As if that weren't enough, he then had his team apply a double cut finish over the highly hand polished and rounded melt down edges and satin finished blades!!!! . . . . He then promptly shipped them off to Skunk!!!. . .
Well, you can only imagine Garth's face when I told him that I hadn't authorized this and knew nothing about it!!!
Garth has been drinking ever since!!!. . . .
Now, you know the "Rest of the story". . . .
The lesson learned here? Well, I think that it's safe to say that Garth now more fully understands the importance of being drunk at all times!!!. . . . . Had he been drunk when the call came in from Idaho, he would've quickly known that Skunkjinks were at play and this model wouldn't exist!!!!
So, there will be NO more satin finished SAR 4s and this will be the ONLY Double Cut edition of the SAR 4 EVER!!!!!!!
That Skunker is a tricky ol' polecat!!!!
Now let's take what we have learned and . . .
Let's Drink!!!!
