Looking for a quick explanation of what the double cut finish is exactly, and how it differs from Satin. THX!:)

Double cut is bead blasted. If you've ever seen the finish on a Kershaw Leek (or most Kershaw blades for that matter), it's the exact same.

Satin is polished to a shiny finish.

Picture's worth a thousand words. Double cut and satin.

Obvious differences, they both look great but I find it harder to use a double cut blade for some reason. Either is better than the crinkle coat IMO.

Thanks, that helps alot, especially the pic side by side!
They both look great, gonna be tough deciding...

double cut is a great user finish because you can bead blast it and make it look like new. It is basically bead blasted over an almost fully satinized finish.

no it's not, you incredibly silly person. get one of each. you will sooner or later anyway, might as well get it out of the way now. :D

I like em both. Wouldn't a light rubbing with a green scrubbie bring back a satin back to new?

that all depends on the grit of satin. Some satins would be scrathed and others might get shinier in the spot where you rub.
