Double Cut?

Please forgive my ignorance in this, but what exactly does double cut mean. Is it a satin finish, bead blast finish, something to do with the grind, or anything else. I have been wondering this for a while but never really thought to ask.

it's blasted with a coarse medium, followed by a less abrasive medium.
hence the double.
