Double edge tip

Hi guys

I have a lot of difficulties to sharpen the tip of my double edge knives. I can't get a straignt tip.

Any of you have tips for me?
 
What methods/equipment are you using?
Are you honing the blade on a stone or moving the abrasive along a stationary blade?
 
Fixed water stone.

Starting t get good with it, but I still can't make a nice tip on d-e
 
All I can say is do it real slow, and take a look at the edge frequently. Try not to over-do it on any one side.
I often don't have the patience to make the tips on my knives as nice as I know I could. Mostly I don't care, since in practice it usually doesn't matter.
 
Move to a lower grit stone or dont apply so much pressure. Changing sides more frequently will also help.
