I'm looking for a double edged folder that is not a balisong. A lot of folders have unsharpened false edges. Are there any that are sharpened on both edges or is there anyone who takes production knives and sharpen the "false" edges as an "after market" process?

A folding Fairbairn Sykes can have double edge or false edge (i.e. partially only sharpened, but to real sharp).
I think Gerber makes them??

You could always get a Benchmade auto 3550 or manual 350 and sharpen the false edge on the back. Great knife to have imo. I have had one for years and it cuts like a razor. John

I know many people have issues with Cold Steel, but.....the triple action folder in double edged. It has Celtic type knotwork on it. Odd but cool.

The Ka-Bar Dozier Thorn blade is spearpoint with a false edge. The difference is that the blade fits completely into the handle, so you could sharpen the false edge if you wanted to.

That one's a good one, too (Ka-Bar/Dozier Folding Thorn). It's got a D2 blade... really great steel, sharpens up well and holds an edge like nobody's business!
Alex.

you can't really have a full double edge blade ona normal folder.

How would you close them genius? (no offense :P)

You can always invent a new system :)

You can use one hand closing, I suppose. With a lot of practice, you can even axis flick closed liner locks (really). But it can bite you. Axis/compression locks are easy to flick closed though.

Does seem a bit dangerous.
